Photovoltaic (PV) systems can be used for a very wide range of applications, from contributing to the electricity supply for your house to providing drinking water in rural Africa, from powering your hand held calculator to powering the satellite that brings you your television programmes.
North East England is home to a range of companies and organisations with expertise in the development and promotion of Photovoltaics. With the assistance of the Regional Development Agency One North East, several of them have formed PV NorthEast to provide a focus for both regional activities and for those who are interested in what North East England has to offer.
