There are a number of financing schemes for domestic properties as well as commercial and public buildings including the possibility of support for feasibility studies.

A PV system can be installed on all types of buildings, provided that there is a suitable area. The system can also have several functions and there is considerable scope for the PV system to be integrated into the overall design of the building.
Installing a PV system on your building means that you can generate some of your own electricity from sunlight, a clean and renewable energy source. It also gives the opportunity to contribute to the overall operation of the building, since as well as providing electricity, the array can be used to provide shading and daylight control, aid natural ventilation and make a visual statement. It also demonstrates the environmental responsibility of the building owners and is generally seen as a positive statement by the community.
There is a wide choice of module type and integration method, depending on what you want the system to look like and the functions it needs to perform. The simplest system is to mount standard modules on a special framework that sits on the roof or is integrated into the façade. Many buildings use custom designed architectural modules, which can be semi-transparent for use in glazed facades, atria and similar locations.

More information on array sizes and system outputs can be found on the FAQ page or you can read more about PV systems and their components on the Introduction to PV Technology page.
Because of the wide range of possibilities for integration, depending on your building design, we recommend that you contact one of our experts for advice on what is possible in your case.
